‘Supernatural’ Comic-Con Details

The summer has been lagging in Supernatural news, but today Warner Brothers revealed details on the show’s upcoming Comic-Con panel.

As always, the show will close out the convention on Sunday, July 15 in the massive Hall H. Here’s the official release on who will be there (attendees are subject to change):

“Returning to Hall H are series stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, joined by recurring guest stars Misha Collins, Jim Beaver and Mark A. Sheppard, as well as new executive producer Jeremy Carver and consulting producer Ben Edlund.”

What more could you want? The five biggest stars of the show, plus the awesome Ben Edlund and the new showrunner? I assume Beaver being in attendance is just for the fans and not an indication that he’ll be back on the show in any major way, but I might be wrong.

And if you’re interested, Supernatural creator Eric Kripke will be at Comic-Con Saturday to discuss his new NBC show, Revolution.

It’s here, the season 7 finale of Supernatural. The epic showdown between the Winchesters and the Leviathans. And if history teaches us anything (car crash, Dean selling his soul to bring Sam back, Dean going to Hell, Lucifer rising, Sam being stuck in the cage and Cas becoming Evil God), it’s that Supernatural never ends on a positive, “Yay, we won and everything is rainbows and puppies!” kind of way.

Read my full recap HERE or keep reading for my quick thoughts.

There are just two episodes left this season, so get your first look at the big season finale where Sam and Dean go up against the Leviathans. And Dean wears a very odd jacket. And Cas makes sandwiches!

Eric Kripke’s New Show Picked Up by NBC

This isn’t about Supernatural, but it’s still great news. SPN creator Eric Kripke is returning to TV this fall. NBC has officially picked up his new drama pilot, Revolution. The show about a post-apocalyptic world where all forms of power have mysteriously vanished is also produced by J.J. Abrams. The show stars David Lyons (The Cape), Billy Burke (Twilight and 24) and Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad).

Are you excited that next season there will be two shows created by Kripke on TV?
